Hi! My name is Kalyani Saxena.

Since 2021, I've been a producer with NPR and WBUR's nationally syndicated radio show Here & Now where I've covered everything from the history of brunch to the U.S withdrawal from Afghanistan. I've also reported on numerous book releases and trends. 

Before that I produced and reported at NPR — first as the intern for the Washington Desk during the 2020 election and then as a news assistant for Weekend All Things Considered. You can find that work here.

As a journalist, I'm interested in exploring not just what our society thinks about race and culture but also how we came to think that way in the first place.
